Methodology & Sources

Corporate treasury and finance teams at multinational companies work with a small set of global banks across a wide range of functions — trade finance instruments such as letters of credit and documentary collections, working capital and receivables finance, cash management and payment infrastructure, cross-border banking and correspondent networks, foreign exchange, capital markets execution, private markets and direct lending, and increasingly, technology and innovation-linked financing. Monaco Trade Forum's Global Trade Finance & Banking Navigator compares eight major banking groups — HSBC, JPMorgan, Citi, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered, Santander and Barclays — only on what can be documented from an official source whose commercial reuse rights were verified directly, never from a bank's own marketing pages and never from assumptions.

The Working Capital Calculator above is independent of the bank comparison: enter revenue, cost of goods sold, days sales outstanding (DSO), days payable outstanding (DPO) and inventory days, and the tool computes the cash conversion cycle, receivables, inventory, payables and estimated working capital instantly, along with the cash a business would release from a given improvement in DSO, DPO or inventory days. These are ordinary corporate-finance formulas applied only to the figures a user enters — nothing is looked up, scored or benchmarked against any bank.
